  1. You can see a fingerprint smudge on this page from the guy/girl who scanned it. C’est la vie.

I like this one even though there is a lack of babes and just a lanky slimy main character. I think the obvious twist (the “sir” guy is evil) throws you off for the second twist (the light switch) so the ending was pretty unpredictable to me and I got a kick out of it.

One more story until Clockwork Apple is finished. And it’s a pretty fun one. Intergalactic STDs and so on.

I thought this was more “twisted” or “disturbing” than Yellow Dust (which to me didn’t live up to its reputation). The dystopian future reminded me of 1984 or V for Vendetta (have you read that?), and I’ve never heard of something like that in Japan. (I have a feeling that this follows more of a Western model than a Japanese one. Do you know any Japanese dystopian novels?) So the whole atmosphere was creepy, and then it’s so sad how both the “sir” guy AND the main character are capable of such treachery. What a terrible world. Whereas Yellow Dust was just, you know, a tragic mishap following bad military actions in the past.
